Two licence families, not two company types
Commercial and professional are licence families. They are not brand names, and they are not a ranking of which company is more serious. The activity you will perform is what points a file toward one family or the other.
Trading goods is the usual commercial pattern. Defined services, including many consultancy and technical scopes, usually sit with a professional licence. Some technical work is described as professional and technical. Tourism and industrial activities have their own families.
Do not infer the family from the company name
A name that says trading, consulting, or maintenance does not choose the licence. Read the activity. A maintenance company that also sells spare parts, or a consultancy that also resells software, may not fit a single family.
This page does not say which family your file must use, and it does not list fees or approval steps. Open the activity, then the licence page that matches the stored licence type.
Where to go next
If the activity is commercial, start with trade and commercial licence support and the commercial licence page. If it is professional, start with the professional licence page. Technical scopes also have a technical services path.
Jurisdiction still matters after the family is clear. Mainland formation and free zone setup are chosen from where you will operate, not from the licence label alone.
